Champagne Flights over Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, DERBYSHIRE: near Chatsworth House, within the Peak ParkOur Derbyshire launch site is within the Peak District National Park. Once airborne your hot air balloon flight may allow you to see Chatsworth House, the family home of the Dukes of Devonshire, or the Heights of Abraham, a unique Hilltop Park set on top of a dramatic limestone gorge. The Peak District National Park is in itself an aerial sightseeing adventure. Claiming the title of Britain's first National Park, it is so large that it covers parts of six counties. NORTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE: Cheltenham, Stow on the Wold From these sites your flight may take you over the Prinknash Abbey Bird and Deer Park, or historic Gloucester Cathedral, or allow you to spy on those enjoying a leisure cruise as they travel along the Gloucester Sharpness Canal. If the winds favour you, you may find yourself floating over beautiful towns and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water with its picturesque beauty or the lovely old market town of Moreton-in-Marsh with the old Roman road running through the wide main street. The historic town of Chipping Campden may come into view or you might see the village of Broadway, at the foot of the Cotswold Edge. OXFORDSHIRE: BanburyOur Oxfordshire launch site is in the historic and lively market town of Banbury from where the breeze may take you over the town of Buckingham which dates back to Saxon times or the picturesque village of Kidlington, a 1930's Garden community. Broughton Castle, owned by the same family for over 600 years, may come into view and you may see Sulgrave Manor, home to the ancestors of George Washington. You may drift over the Georgian Stowe Landscape Gardens, home to over 30 arches and temples. WARWICKSHIRE: Stratford-upon-Avon, WarwickOur Warwickshire balloon flights take off from the famous towns of Stratford-upon-Avon, home of the Bard and Warwick, best known for its magnificent castle. WORCESTERSHIRE: Evesham, Worcester From either of these sites the balloon flight may take you over the delightful market towns of Chipping Campden or Pershore, famous for its Georgian architecture. You may also see the medieval town of Tewkesbury with its timber framed buildings or the historic town of Upton upon Severn. England's loveliest cathedral, Worcester Cathedral, may come into view and you may see Worcester Racecourse where racing has been taking place on the banks of the River Severn since 1718, or the beautiful Spetchley Park Gardens. Heart of England Balloons' centre of operations is near Stratford
upon Avon. We have launch sites throughout the Heart of England, an
area famed for its outstanding natural beauty, rolling green hills,
quaint villages and fabulous history. This part of the country is
well known as a tourist destination with many historic buildings,
castles and stately homes as well as national parks, forests and other
attractions.
Our Gloucestershire launch sites are in Cheltenham, one of Britain's
finest Spa towns and Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds,
which for hundreds of years was famous for its sheep and horse fairs.
From these launch sites the winds may carry you over the River Avon
or Warwick Castle with its landscaped gardens, or the historic town
of Chipping Campden, set on the edge of the Cotswolds. Royal Leamington
Spa with its Georgian and Victorian architecture, tree lined avenues
and glorious gardens may come into view or you may see the old market
town of Evesham.
Our Worcestershire launch sites are Evesham, nestled at the foot of
the Cotswold Hills, on the banks of the River Avon, and the historic
Cathedral City of Worcester.
